Houston there is no problem!

We made it! I'm sitting here in my new gorgeous kitchen (we're renting). This house is almost 3 times the size of our house in Franklin. The kids and I went crazy when we first got in here. Thank you God for it! We have already met the neighbor and their huge orange cat, Samson. He is so sweet-just like our cats. I'm relieved that we have neighbors who love cats. She is a veterinarian. If you didn't know it, our neighbors trapped our cats and threatened to take them to the pound for killing the birds in their yard. Oh yeah, they have two boys, 4 and 6. The 6 year old is in first grade at the school Georgia will go to.

Sugar Land is neat. That's about all I can say now. I love the flatness of Houston. It reminds me a lot of southern Delaware except for the palm trees!

We had quite an adventure getting here. I'll post that later with pictures. The cats spent two full days in the van by themselves (with air conditioning). It worked out well for all of us. They are now sequestered in a bathroom, petrified. At least they have each other, food, water and a litter box.

I'm thankful for the long weekend. Steve has to go to work tomorrow and Sunday but has Monday off. I have to get Georgia registered at her new school on Tuesday. Right now we only have the van because Steve's car is 3 hours away in Lake Charles, Lousiana.....

It sounds like you had an adventure. We had one, too, when we drove here from South FL. Our adventure included a car breaking down 3 hours after we left home! So glad you made it and love your home. Sugarland is beautiful. I met someone today who went to Strong Tower. When I mentioned your name, she said it sounded familiar! She moved here to Pearland from Franklin one year ago! Welcome, to Texas.
