I'm starting to feel better after a week of the flu (I guess). I get to go to a new doctor today! It was the first they could see me.
Anyway in the last week we celebrated Steve's 40 and my 40th birthday. I'm glad that milestone is over with!
On the way to work yesterday, Steve found this cardinal stunned on the road. He brought it back. We let it fly away after we petted it for a few minutes.

Sympathetic Cat
Georgia has been sick with a fever and just feeling yucky. She could hardly wait to get to bed last night. When she laid down, this is where Leo placed himself.

Another Running Milestone
Steve decided last minute to run a half marathon in Nashville. It was freezing cold (well probably 40-45) and raining the entire time. Nevertheless, the kids and I went down to LP Field (Titans Stadium) and watched him cross the finish line from under our umbrellas.
He was happy with his time of 1:49. We were very proud.

Me Little Leprachauns
I got this idea from No Time For Flash Cards. I only had enough paper for one beard, but they didn't even want to wear it. Cute idea anyway!

Nighttime in Nashville with Daddy
This is what the kids did last night while I was out with my ladies. Note: we all got home about the same time: 10 p.m.

Hands On Museum
We visited the Hands On Museum in Johnson City on Friday. It was so much fun. Georgia would have shopped all day at the cool grocery store. She did it at least 5 times and I made her stop so that we could go look at some more stuff.
We were there once a couple of years ago, but this time they're older and it was much more fun - and relaxing for me!
This corn snake looks exactly like ours, except that it is full grown. The oldest one known in captivity, Big Red is 18 years old. Our Bertie is about 1 and very small, but I loved that my kids were not scared at all and loved her.

Disney On Ice
Grandmother and Grandpa Finn took us to see Disney on Ice at Freedom Hall in Johnson City. It was fantastic! I had never been to anything like it before and the kids hadn't either. They sat spellbound as they watched Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald and Daffy go on "vacation" to see Peter Pan, The Lion King, Lilo and Stitch and Little Mermaid.
Our special thanks to Dr. Chamness, Grandmother's ex-boss (she retired) and his wife for getting us great seats.

Georgia feeding Nightmare
The kids and I headed to Johnson City last Thursday. We had a fantastic visit with Grandmother and Grandpa Finn, plus their many pets. Jude especially loves Alley cat. She is very tiny and adorable. The kids played with her non-stop. I'm sure she's wondering what happened to her friends!
Here are some of my favorite pictures. There are TONS to come.
