Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day to my fantastic husband, who by the way, is an amazing father. I love you honey.

Also Happy Father's Day to my own dad. I'm thankful to have a godly man as a dad. I know he's always praying for me.

More From The Jungles (I Mean Creeks) Of Brentwood

Jude spotted this water snake, but only Georgia was brave enough to hold it. That thing was huge!

Visit To PA

We had another fun visit to PA. Just got back last night and the kids are playing happily today like it's a whole new house and brand new toys!

Rach and her lovely ladies came for lunch. She only lives about 30 minutes away. I should have gotten a picture of her because she is great with child, yet ran out in the field when Pearl hurt herself. It made me tired watching her. You can read more about it here.

We also picked strawberries and hung out at the house. I was able to work some for my dad which was great and I appreciate his generosity.

My kids got to go get their teeth cleaned at the same place I went to as a kid. Thank God Dr Gaugler is in a nursing home though....

My mom is gonna kill me for posting a picture of her with her bottom in the air picking berries, but it's cute!

I didn't take a single picture of my Grammy, but it was good to see her. She is 92 and a young chicken at that!

So What Have You Been Doing Dawn?

Well, I'm so glad you asked! My parents are here and my mom brought me two really cool boxes of knitting and crochet stuff. Each had about 30 patterns. The kids saw these knitted mice and crocheted cupcakes and had to have them.
I admit the cupcakes could also be UFOs or something, but I swear I followed the pattern!

R.I.P. baby starling

Last night, I saw (from the house) our cat Leo playing with something. It turned out to be a baby bird. After some internet research, we discovered it was a starling.

Georgia made it a nest in her new sombrero. It stayed there all night and we fed it a mixture of cat food, applesauce and hard boiled egg. I also boiled some Karo syrup and water and fed it little drops.

It seemed to be doing fine, that is until we returned from playing at Syd's house. Poor baby was dead. I think I was more sad than the kids.

Oh- In that first picture, the bird is alive and well!

We have some awesome neighbors across the street, the Millers. Georgia is holding their little baby girl, AJ, in the first picture. Sydney is almost 3 and equally as cute!

The kids are modeling their sombreros courtesy of Grace Bronleewe and her fiesta-themed birthday party. They are channeling Skippyjon Jones.

The Grammy Comes Home

Steve finally got his Grammy this week. It's back home in the studio, but we all got a chance to see it and hold it! Congratulations to my fantastically talented musician husband. I'm proud of you!
