Jedi Jude Turns 4

We had Jude's party today, but he really doesn't turn 4 til Tuesday, the 16th. We had mostly neighbors and a couple of friends for a packed little house!

It was really fun. Steve and I struggled to make the darn cake, but it was worth it. I've never made hard candy before and it took two tries. We finished right before the party started.

Believe it or not, Jude didn't get one duplicate Star Wars item. He got lots of stuff and he's playing with it all.

Our gift to him was the R2D2 robot which is AWESOME! Steve played with it all week and I think Jude is warming up to him.

It's Christmas...finally

We finally got our tree last night! The kids were SO excited. We had our good friend, Gracie, yesterday because it was moving day for her mom and dad. We dropped her off, went to the studio, went to Fedex, went back to the studio, went to the tree place, got the tree, went to dinner at O'Charley's, went to Walmart, went home with the tree. What time was it, you might be wondering? 11. PM.

We got the tree up, put the lights and tree topper up and went to bed at 12. We finished the ornaments this morning and it looks and smells great!

My favorite part was when Georgia started to put the tree skirt on the tree around her "waist". That's where a skirt goes, right?!

Here is a picture of the two little BFF princesses. I hope Grace loved sleeping in her new room last night!

Beautiful boy

These pictures of Jude are adorable, if I do say so myself. He's gonna be a heartbreaker.

He is modeling a cute new hat I made for our neighbor boy. I may have to make one for Jude, but he rarly wears the hats I have made for him.

Steve took the kids to see Bolt last night. I didn't know that it was in 3D and he said it was awesome. Here is how cool Jude looks in his 3D specs...

The kids helped Steve build my new computer. Jude loves to help with mechanical stuff and seems to be quite good at it. I'm so blessed to have a husband who builds computers! Hard to believe that I didn't even have ONE computer at home before we got married!!

Georgia finally purchased her swimming puppy with her own money (thanks to Grandmother).

This picture is of the front of Georgia! It just weirded me out for some reason.

Here I am playing an old lady knitting with her bird perched on her shoulder. The necklace is a parakeet accessory :)

Yes that is a bunny on a leash.

Jude finally got brave enough to hold Fledge this time.

Grandmother, Bunny and Daddy Runs Another Marathon

How's that for a header?! Steve was in San Antonio (yes Texas) this weekend to run his second marathon in 6 months. He ran again with his cousin, KC, who is a seasoned veteran of marathon running.

Steve wasn't sure if he was even able to run because he had gotten a stone bruise on his heel from training hard. He was happy to finish in just over 4 hours because it hurt him a lot during the race. I'm proud of him! He is enjoying visiting with some more family today before he heads back to Nashville tonight. In case you didn't know, Steve was born and raised in Dallas.

Unfortunately I don't have any pictures of Grandmother, but she did bring her adorable bunny, Bunny or Bun Bun. Georgia and Jude loved her! Fledge, the parakeet, came too, but he definitely took a backseat to the Bun Bun.

I Love Leaves

I really do love the leaves. Even though they keep falling as I rake! Our front yard is small and it's easy to rake them out there for the city to come suck up. We only had a couple of hours to play in them before they arrived. I don't understand the schedule. There isn't one. You put them out and it's pretty random.

Oh, and doesn't the look on Courage's face say it all? We have some VERY patient cats.
