Jude.loves.cats. It's so cute. He loved the neighbor's cat Socks. He was pretty friendly, and apparently, a great hunter!

We took a hayride to the local buffalo farm which is behind my parents land. This buffalo is the only male. The stud if you will. He is the father and grandfather for the whole farm and is 6 years old, weighing ONE TON.

My dad bought some buffalo sausage and hotdogs, but I didn't have the nerve to taste it. I've had a bite of a buffalo burger here in Nashville and it was ok.

The highlight of the ride was when Georgia met a little friend, Maddie. They sat by each other on the wagon (well Maddie told Georgia to sit by her) and held hands, hugged each other. It was so cute. Maddie was pretty bossy and 3 1/2 going on 16. Both girls were sad to say goodbye. One last hug and off we went!

More Fun In PA

My dad took the kids to a retirement community "event" where Georgia got her face painted (Jude declined) and they got to jump in a moon bounce for a whole hour. My Uncle Ron was home this summer from France, so he was also along for the fun. My dad remarked how red Jude's face was after being in the bounce, but he would come out for a break and go back in!

I liken my parent's house to a spa retreat. It's so quiet and peaceful there. I love to lay in the hammock in the evenings when it is so much cooler than a summer night in Tennessee! There are buffalo roaming within view behind their property and more horses as well. Aahhhhh...so nice to relax. My mom lets me sleep in every morning I'm there and gets up with the kids. She also treated me to an hour massage-probably the best one I've ever had.

Summer Visit To PA

Georgia and Jude LOVE to visit my mom and dad in Pennsylvania. They have just about 2 acres and lots of room inside and outside to run and play....not to mention the millions of toys and "surprises" Grandmom blesses them with.

I also love to visit. My parents bought back the house Bethany and I grew up in about 5 years ago. It's so fun to be back there even though it's a little different (and better!)

My parents' neighbors have two horses that are very friendly and we loved to feed them good grass from our side that they couldn't reach or an occasional carrot. Grandmom even sacrificed one apple on the last day we were there!

Georgia and Jude helped Pops pick tomatoes, peppers and even tiny watermelons that were quite tasty.

We also got to visit with their Great-Grammy, my Grammy who is 91 years old. She still lives by herself, drives and is very sharp. They love to get rides on her electric wheelchair.

Friday Night Haircut

It's only like his 4th in his entire life, but Jude got his second Daddy haircut tonight and it went swimmingly! He didn't shed a tear and we all trekked to the mall candy store for a reward.

Check out the very end of the video. It's hilarious!

Fun Saturday

We went to the zoo yesterday since we have a membership and just spent a couple of hours there AFTER being at the lake for awhile. The weather is just beautiful now and we tried to take advantage of it before it gets unbearable again.

I was just captivated by this giraffe. He was trying so hard to get the leaves off of the tree. We were so close to him and I think he liked the company.

By the end of the day, the kids were both asleep in their car seats. Pretty rare these days....

Bindi Irwin...look out!

Georgia LOVES animals. Any animals. She loves her snake, Bertie, and carries him around sometimes in her little purse.

In this other picture, she has our kitten, Courage, in the purse. Courage was a good sport and didn't seem to mind at all. It was funny to see Georgia trying to put the straps up on her shoulder like a big girl. Courage is getting kind of big!
